What is the correct gapping for golf clubs?
Ideal club gapping is 10-15 yards between consecutive clubs. Gaps over 20 yards leave you with in-between distances on the course and force uncomfortable stock shot modifications. The calculator flags any gap over 15 yards between consecutive clubs so you can identify missing wedges, hybrids, or iron slots.
How do I know if my golf clubs have distance gaps?
Enter every club you carry and the calculator above will highlight any gap over 15 yards. Common gaps appear between the longest iron and the shortest fairway wood, between short irons and pitching wedge, or between pitching wedge and gap wedge when the PW has been strengthened (which happens with most modern iron sets).
